The Institute for Independent Business offers a comprehensive range of support services and business programmes to its members. The short video attachment provides a brief introduction to the Institute, known as the IIB.

Independent business owners around the world can join this professional network and access advice, training, and support from all business sectors, with professional advisors and teachers on hand to provide assistance in multiple formats.

Sir Peter Birkett is an Accredited Business Consultant with the IIB, drawing on his vast experience in the independent school sector to help other members. Since being established in 1984, the IIB has launched numerous training and support programmes for the benefit of small business owners everywhere.

IIB Consultancy Business Development Programme™

The IIB Consultancy Business Development Programme™ was initially launched in 1991. Through this programme, IIB members can access training and advice on building a consultancy business, using proven techniques honed by the Institute for Independent Business.

IIB Alumni™ representing every business sector and background collaborate through the IIB network to share information and advice based on knowledge gained through many years of experience. Many of the associates have launched and run their own successful companies that they have then been able to sell, and all come from senior leadership positions.

Executives must pass through a comprehensive selection procedure and complete the training programme at the IIB’s Residential Business School before being able to carry the IIB logo accreditation.

IIB Executive Coaching Business Development Programme™

The IIB Executive Coaching Business Development Programme uses evidence-based coaching delivered by executive coaches from every type of business background. IIB Executive Coaches have all graduated from the Residential Coaching School of the IIB and completed the ECBDP.

They also bring to the table a wealth of experience in their chosen field, bringing hard-earned practical knowledge to be shared with others just starting out on their entrepreneurial journey. Accredited graduates from the programme are able to use the IIB logo to promote their training and experience.

Residential Business School

The Residential Business School from the IIB operates from its Amsterdam headquarters on a regular basis throughout each year. Attendees are able to access formal training comprised of a mixture of practical sessions and lectures, preparing new associates with all the knowledge and skills required to benefit themselves and other SME owners and management. Prior attendees of the Residential Business School have publicly testified to the standards of the training and its practical applications in preparing to go out and do business.

IIB Business Support Programme™ and Coaching Support Programme™

The Business Support Programme™ from the IIB has been designed to meet the needs of independent businesses everywhere. The level and type of available support is fully customised to each business to help them meet their own objectives.

It is based on a proven support model which has benefited many thousands of businesses of all types around the globe. The first meeting to analyse the needs of the business and establish a plan for moving forward is offered free of charge, and business owners entering the programme have access to a range of experts to help resolve specific issues.

The Coaching Support Programme™ focuses on coaching and training issues within a business and is designed to address challenges with human performance.
